Sand Dunes

This was just for fun, not really a project for my class.  No classes till Feb 7 or somewhere around there.
I made this for a friend with some of that extra poster paper we had from our last project. Probably took a half an hour to make and an hour to print. God damn printers! I never understand them.  I did this all on illustrator which I'm very proud of  because I would choose photoshop any day over illustrator but I need the practice and it didn't come out half bad.

Autumn Color War

Long exposure and movement of the camera.  These were some bushes and b the motion of the leaves you can guess how I moved the camera. I believe it was like a 1 sec exposure.  I love how it ended up looking like long grass.
Low depth of field which really turned out beautifully.  The colors in the background blend well together as blurry objects rather than detailed.
For one the white balance worked well.  This was a sunny white balance giving the atmosphere a warmer atmosphere.  I don't know about you but this picture makes me want to continue that walk down yonder.
Long exposure again and a horizontal movement of the camera.  Started the picture with some golden leaves then moved to the left towards the bushes and creek in the background.  I love how the warm colors overpower and surround the cooler colors in the bottom left corner.  Fall is my favorite season and it sure was good while it lasted.

Stop Motion Movie Completed

This took about 400 pictures, hours among hours of work and frustration.  But its finally done and I'm pleased.  I drew every picture, which was extremely tedious at times, especially when it was 3 in the morning. But anything can be fun as long as you have some music blasting in the background.  Enjoy!

Storyboard

Here is my storyboard for my upcoming stop motion movie.  A little over 2 minutes and 400 frames.  I'll be illustrating this movie. I would have act it out because I usually jump roof tops on the weekends but maybe next time.  (Click on image to enlarge)

Assignment 4

This was our latest project.  We chose a song and created a poster using the words and the tune of the music to depict it.  I choose "Where is my Mind" by Pixies, it's the song at the end of the movie "Fight Club" --haven't seen it? go see it!  Anyways I chose two lines, "Your head will collapse but there's nothing in it" and "Where is my mind."  I wanted to do more but we had to create this using Illustrator which I just don't know how to use very well, I prefer Photoshop.

Ikebana

Oh what joy it is to take pictures in the rain, not.  More like one of the most stressful things ever.  I'm holding the umbrella underneath my chin and trying to hold the camera to get the right exposure and on top of that I'm dealing with hurricane winds blowing the rain everywhere!  However, I love the rain droplets on my lovely flowers.  There was a small garden by the Brandywine River in Wilmington.

.....Let's go Phillies!

Autumn Afternoons

It's my favorite time of the year and its about time.  I enhanced the colors in both images, especially the red in the first, and blurred the corners in the second image.  These were taken at the park behind the Hockessin Library. B-E-A-utiful time of the year I might say.
This isn't for my class, this was just for fun. I would upload my latest project which truly shows how incredible photoshop is but unfortunately it won't upload. I'm not giving up though...I'll find a way to get it up.
